A video of Zelensky’s appeal was published on the website of his press service.

He announced plans between the first and second reading to amend the current bill, according to these amendments, the right to sell and buy land in the country will be only with citizens of Ukraine and Ukrainian companies founded by "exclusively Ukrainian citizens."

The president explained that “foreigners and companies that have foreign founders among them are only eligible to buy Ukrainian land if the people of Ukraine consent to it in an all-Ukrainian referendum.”

Earlier, Zelensky said that in the near future the Verkhovna Rada will develop and adopt a law on an all-Ukrainian referendum.

In July, Ukrainian political analyst Mikhail Pogrebinsky, in an interview with 360, commented on reform plans in Ukraine, including the likelihood of a moratorium on the sale of agricultural land being lifted.
