• Accusation: University camp camps accuse the ERC and CUP youth of stealing 40,000 euros
  • Protest. Students camped in Barcelona: "We are not violent, but sometimes they force you"

The camping schism of the University of Barcelona square continues to pivot on what happened to the money that protesters opposed to the sentences of the leaders of the process have amassed in the protest. The supporters of the mobilization is prolonged yesterday accused of robbery those who abandoned it two days after the elections and taking the collection. Those who maintain the settlement associate them with the youths of ERC and Arran, linked to the CUP, to those who blame for having instrumentalized the concentration for electoral purposes and with those who try to distinguish themselves by declaring themselves "apartidists." Now they are required to demonstrate what has been done with the donations, which the campers estimate at about 40,000 euros.

"We have no document to confirm what amount has been given or to whom. We simply have his word," says Núria Lombarte, who continues in the camp. Protesters who left University and Arran have claimed that the income has been transferred to entities that advise detainees for the altercations of recent weeks in Catalonia.

"In the first assembly it was decided that, once the camping was over, it would be given to antirepressant causes. But the camping is not over, we are still here," Lombarte emphasizes, explaining that, in addition to the resistance box to help those arrested , there was another donation for the management of the camp. He assures that that other piggy bank has also disappeared.

The young woman describes a certain lack of control with the funds. "No one of us on the camping knew how much pasta there was," he says. The campers now intend to record the collection count every day and agree on the expenses per assembly. Another of the boys who has settled in Plaza Universidad, Axel Joan Ramón Miranda, appeals to the youth branches of the parties that had encouraged the concentration to "return the money or, at least, give an explanation."
