- I went up first. This is the first time I've been winded up in a helicopter. First and last I hope, says Thomas Skoglund.

He tells of a spectacular rescue. It was such a sea voyage that it was difficult to move on board. When the engine shut down, it became significantly worse as the waves came straight from the side.

- You see in the movie how the boat swings back and forth, he says.

Blessing in disguise

According to Thomas, the engine died out at sea and the boat then lay and drifted for a while.

- The smelled burnt oil and the fire alarm went off. They said it was steam, but it didn't smell like water. Then it became a cross stop, so it must have been cut.

Now the rescue operation went well. But Thomas Skoglund thinks it was bad luck.

- Now we were only four on board. Had there been 150 people, or dogs, children and old people, then damn it could have ended worse, he says.
