10 November 2019In Romania - according to an exit poll released by the Mediafax agency at the closing of the polling stations - the outgoing head of state, the conservative Klaus Iohannis, would have won the first round of the presidential elections with 39% of the votes, compared to 22.5% went to the Social Democratic candidate, the former premier Viorica Dancila. Third is the liberal Dan Barna with 16.4%.

If no one gets 50% of the votes, the two most voted will go to the runoff on November 24th.
