The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that the Dubai Tram Project is a vital link in the railway system and a key supporter of the public transport network, in order to achieve the guidance of our leadership and the strategic objectives of the Roads and Transport Authority in promoting mass transit and making it the ideal choice for residents, visitors and tourists of the Emirate of Dubai.
This came on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the launch of Dubai Tram on November 11, 2014.
The tram has been very popular since its inauguration, providing an additional and artery option for mobility that has contributed to the convenience of people in keeping with their needs and aspirations in this area, as the Dubai tram has been able to transport more than 28 million passengers since its inception to date.
The TRA said that the celebration of the fifth anniversary of Dubai Tram includes awards and gold bars for tram users, praising the efforts of Serco Company to operate the Dubai Tram within the rail system in the Emirate, which resulted in positive results, including the accuracy of appointments to 99.9%, and access to the tram service A five-star rating in the International Standards for Service Excellence «TISSE» in 2016.
