Do not offer these foods to your baby

BERLIN (Reuters) - Bebe and Familie have warned parents not to offer raw and smoked foods to their baby when they start eating solid foods, starting at about six months.

These foods may contain germs such as norovirus, salmonella and listeria, which threaten the child with food poisoning, which is manifested in the form of vomiting, diarrhea and gastrointestinal problems.

Nuts, apple slices and carrot fingers may not be given to a child during their first year, as some parts of these solid foods may reach the trachea causing suffocation.
