To date, SEK 15 million has been allocated for development and renovation in 2020.

Million investments each year

A plan of action identifies a number of initiatives:

• 2020, for example, tree plantings against First camp will be planted for 1 million. A new cycle path will be built (2.5 million) and a new entrance area for outdoor life and exercise will be built. This includes walkways, message boards, benches and new gravel surfaces (4 million). New parking (1.3 million).

• The following year, 2021, an additional SEK 52 million will be invested in the area. Among other things, at an adventure play park for SEK 10 million and a 110-meter-long pontoon bridge, which together with a new bathing place is also estimated to cost SEK 10 million.

• In 2022, SEK 51.4 million will be invested in this area, according to the action plan. Among other things, by building a new service building for 20 million and an outdoor sauna for 10 million.

• In 2023, 30.9 million will be invested in realizing the vision. Then it is about, among other things, natural art for 5 million and just as much, 5 million, on renovating Skutbergsgården.

The condition: Moomin establishment

The action plan states that some of the initiatives are necessary if the area is to become an attractive outdoor and exercise area "... since many parts are neglected after many years of inadequate maintenance."

On Tuesday, the politicians in the municipal council will decide on the action plan, but it has previously been said that the Moomin establishment in the area next door must be eliminated in order for the major investment on the other parts of Skutberget to be implemented.
