Minister of Infrastructure Development, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al-Nuaimi, confirmed that the ministry is working on continuous coordination with the federal and local government authorities to reduce the damage caused by rain water during the winter, and the ministry also formed teams of engineers, technicians and contractors from the private sector equipped with equipment And modern machinery to provide support and assistance to local governments, with the aim of strengthening and supporting the infrastructure system in the UAE.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has taken many actions and proactive steps in coordination with the local authorities and concerned with the state, where it worked on the preparation of a clear plan, as part of its readiness for the rainy season, in order to avoid the effects of large quantities of rain at this time of year.

He pointed out that the ministry has worked hard during the past years to develop solutions that would reduce the damage of rainwater, where the ministry worked on the construction of ferries and diversion channels and the completion of the bridge of the Al-Fahalin area in Ras Al Khaimah, and the protection of rock cuts within the road "Yabsa transit" in the Emirate of Fujairah, to A study aimed at identifying the causes of drifting and watersheds, including the design, manufacture and implementation of a rainwater management and drainage system on federal roads

He also stressed that the infrastructure and federal roads have proved their efficiency during the rainy season and weather fluctuations, as the damage did not exceed the water gathering in some areas and was dealt with in a timely manner thanks to the concerted efforts and coordination between the various government agencies, both federal and local, in addition to the relevant companies.

He added: `` We are keen to implement various projects in accordance with the highest standards followed globally to keep pace with the achievements of the UAE and to support the outstanding infrastructure system enjoyed by the UAE, pointing out the readiness of the Ministry's teams to deal with emergencies and provide assistance to local partners. ''

In the same context, Director of the Federal Roads Department, Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, pointed out that the Ministry is working hard to develop radical solutions to the event from the effects of rain, and overcome the weather

Al-Hammadi pointed out that the ministry has prepared a clear plan to deal with weather fluctuations and the event of its effects, where it worked to distribute water pumps and equipment and modern machinery, on various federal roads and areas where rainwater gathering, to ensure rapid intervention to remove rain water at full speed to reduce Of their impact on traffic, ensure the safety of road users, and infrastructure.

He said that the ministry takes into account in the implementation of various infrastructure projects, the nature of the climate in the region and its impact on large amounts of rain during the winter, which contributes to reduce the damage resulting in the future.
