With Behind the Wall, a retrospective sound that traces the great moments of the Cold War, from 1955 until the fall of the Berlin Wall 30 years ago, Europe 1 brings you back to history. This creation was orchestrated by journalists Sophie Larmoyer and Didier François. It could not have been done without the help of the documentation service.

Sylvaine Denis, Laetitia Casanova, Sabrina Jeanson and Benoit Muckensturm put their hands in the dust and searched among 500 sound clips captured by the microphones of Europe 1 between 1955 and 1989. They imagined five episodes of twenty minutes aired on the air . They are now available on the Sybel platform.

Listening to key moments in history

Sylvaine Denis, the head of the documentation department serves as a guide and takes you to discover the archives of Europe 1.
