Karlstad and Hammarö own 70 and 30 per cent, respectively, of the five wind turbines.

Since the business started, the problems have accumulated with both broken facilities and falling electricity prices. As late as May 2019, the company flagged Vindpark Vänern AB for requiring a capital injection from the municipalities of around SEK 30 million.

Now that the French company Innovent has offered a sum of just over EUR 2.5 million, ie almost SEK 26 million, the capital injection may not be needed.

- It is too early to say before we have made the financial statements, says Erik Kornfeld.

The politicians are positive about the sale and the agreement is complete.

- Now it feels right and good that a new owner has come forward who wants to push this forward, says Karlstad Municipal Council Per-Samuel Nisser (M).

At the end of November, the decision to sell Innovent will be up in both municipal councils.
