It was noted that the bill provides for the possibility of exceptions to the requirements of the third energy package for pipelines from countries that are not members of the European Union. These rules will apply to the final part of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

It was also reported that trilateral expert consultations on gas supply to the European Union, Ukraine and Russia will be held in Brussels on November 8.
