The trial is currently underway against six young men who are suspected of three blasts at the end of last year. After the police found a hide in a storehouse in an apartment building, a surveillance camera was set up - which led to the arrest.

In the wind, police found, among other things, a kilo of explosive dough, weapons and thermos. On surveillance films they could see that the men bought thermos from various stores in Malmö. All five are now suspected of aggravated weapons crime and preparing for the most dangerous destruction.

- We launched a massive investigative effort against this group, which led to a seizure in January. It is one of the major cases in Sweden that has been brought about blasting. Hopefully, it can provide police and prosecutors with experiences that we can use in future similar cases, says Chamber Prosecutor Christoffer Östlind.

One of the men, along with his brother, has been identified as some of the responsible for the thermal bombs in Malmö in recent years.

All six deny crime

According to Sydsvenskan's reporter Joakim Palmkvist, currently on loan to Veckan's crime as editor, this prosecution can have consequences.

- In the longer term, I think there will be a difference. These people have been detained for quite some time and the blasts have continued in the South region, so there are others who carry out bombing. But in the longer term, I think it will affect if they fall, he says.

All six refuse a crime. The trial continues until December 13.
