He also noted that it is planned to create a new state-owned infotainment channel on the basis of UATV broadcasting.
According to him, the channel will broadcast in Ukrainian and Russian.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, recalled that Ukraine introduced “language quotas” in relation to the Russian language on television, while a more loyal approach was taken to the languages of the EU member states.
In September, it was reported that the Kiev authorities were planning to develop television broadcasting in the Crimea and in the uncontrolled regions of Donbass and that four television towers would be commissioned in the near future.
