“On November 8, consultations of Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs O.N. Burmistrov with the Special Envoy of the US State Department for Korea M. Lambert took place. The American representative was also received by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation I.V. Morgulov, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that the parties substantively exchanged views on the development of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
It is also reported that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Igor Morgulov and the Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, Lee Du Hong, during joint consultations discussed the coordination of efforts of interested countries to jointly solve the problems of the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier it was reported that the special representative of the US State Department for North Korea, Mark Lambert, will visit Moscow from November 6 to 9.
