Love is one of the wonderful feelings that inspire one and make life meaningful and filled with joy, if this feeling is mutual, it delights one's heart, and positively affects all aspects of his life.

Interestingly, studies in this field show that this pulsating romantic feeling affects the same part of the brain just as cocaine and opium, Lyudmila Storajenko said in a report published by the Russian FBI website.

How was the study conducted?
Scientists from Stanford University showed 15 students (eight girls and seven young men) pictures of their loved ones. At the same time, participants in the experiment suffered a small accident, causing pain on the palms. In addition, the brains of the participants were examined using an MRI and were then asked to assess their pain at the end of each session.

The effect of love on the brain
In contrast, the researchers concluded that the emotions felt by young people when seeing images of their loved ones produce the same painkillers, as the pain in the palm of the hands at the time was lackluster or almost non-existent. Moreover, brain tests have shown that these feelings affect the same area of the brain that becomes active after the use of powerful drugs such as cocaine and morphine.

Function statistics
The study found that simply showing an image of loved ones to participants in the trial reduces severe pain by 12%, and moderate pain by 45%.

In addition, during the experiment, scientists changed the images of each of the study's loved ones. Instead, they were shown pictures of attractive women or men.

Another experience
In this regard, the researchers tried to delve deeper into this topic. Against this background, the researchers analyzed how other activities, such as solving simple mathematical problems, divert participants' attention and help them reduce the intensity of pain.

Mathematics and images
Brain tests have shown that solving complex math problems also helps reduce pain, but photographs have been more effective.

How does love affect?
Jarrett Younger, one of the study participants, said the effect of analgesics caused by love is more closely related to the brain centers responsible for feeling reward, which activate deep structures and prevent pain at the spine level. "The nucleus accumbens, a major center for promoting addiction to opiates, cocaine and other drugs, is one of the key factors for relieving pain from love," he said.

The writer noted that scientists have found that love helps one to alleviate the pain, and pushes him towards achieving his goals; making the person spares no effort to reach.
