Government Junichi Ihara appointed as French ambassador Nov. 8 at 10:41

At the Cabinet meeting on the 8th, the government decided to appoint Mr. Junichi Ihara, the ambassador of the Japanese government representative of the Geneva International Organization, as the new French ambassador.

Junichi Ihara, 63, is the new French ambassador.
He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1979 and served as the Director of the North American Bureau, the Director of the Asia-Pacific Region, and the Ambassador of the Japanese Government in Geneva.
