Sudanese nationals in Omdurman mourned the body of police officer Nizar al-Naim, who died recently in mysterious circumstances in Cairo. He witnessed the disengagement of the army's general sit-in in Khartoum last June.

Participants in the funeral on Friday chanted slogans demanding the disclosure of the circumstances of the death of bliss, and to speed up the accountability of those who broke up the sit-in of the General Command and the killers of demonstrators during the period of revolutionary movement.

Thousands of Sudanese took part in the funeral and chanted slogans such as "Blood is blood, what we accept as blood money," Anatolia said.

Al-Naeem's body arrived in Khartoum at dawn today. Samples were taken before he was buried. He had traveled to Cairo for medical tests after a severe pneumonia.

Investigation Committee
Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk yesterday ordered the formation of a committee to investigate the circumstances of the death of the policeman, who is known to him - as close to him - his positions in support of the revolutionary movement.

Protesters demonstrated in several parts of the capital on Thursday to demand the disclosure of the circumstances of the policeman's death. Protesters also set fire to tires and blocked main streets in Omdurman, west of the capital.

Al-Jazeera correspondent quoted a number of protesters as saying that Naeem had supportive positions for the revolutionary movement, and refused to confront the demonstrations by force and expressed willingness to testify to reveal those who gave orders to break the sit-in of the General Command and target demonstrators with bullets.

Suspicion of poisoning
The uncle of the policeman - during an interview with "Al Jazeera Mubasher" yesterday - that bliss was poisoned, and that parts of the regime responsible for killing him to hide the truth of what happened to the demonstrators during the disengagement of Khartoum sit-in.

He said during the interview that the bliss sided with the revolution since its first day, and refused to participate in the killing of peaceful demonstrators, and that he had information about those involved in the killing of protesters during the revolution.

Earlier, the field committee of the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change, which led the revolutionary movement, called for the autopsy of the bliss, and the announcement of the results.

The dead policeman was quoted by local media as confirming that he had evidence regarding the disengagement of the GHQ.

Naeem resigned from the police at the outbreak of popular protests in December 2018, after he refused orders to target demonstrators.

It is noteworthy that the disengagement of the General Command led to the death of dozens and injured hundreds and the loss of dozens. Witnesses and human rights sources spoke of rape. Opposition forces blamed the "Rapid Support" forces, led by Mohamed Hamdan Doklo (Hamidati), while the latter denied any responsibility and blamed "unknown elements" he said were wearing the RSF uniform.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of victims of the sit-in was 61, but the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change put the death toll at 128.
