Princess Anastasia was on her way to Helsinki when that boat was suddenly hit by a wreck. The situation went well in the circumstances, but the Swedish Transport Agency nevertheless takes a serious look at the incident. The authority suspects that it was diesel fuel from St. Petersburg that caused the ship's engines to fail.
None of the 1065 passengers were injured when the ship was due to land outside Lidingö.
Princess Anastasia belongs to the ferry company Moby SPL, based in Saint Petersburg. The ferry operates the routes of St. Petersburg-Helsinki-Stockholm-Tallinn-Saint Petersburg.
