The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the UN General Assembly for the 28th time approved a resolution to end the economic, trade and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.
“Russia will invariably show solidarity with the fraternal people of Cuba in overcoming the hardships caused by the sanctions of Washington, continuing widespread economic and humanitarian cooperation and assisting in the development of Liberty Island,” the ministry emphasized.
The Russian Foreign Ministry called the discriminatory practice of the United States on extraterritorial application of national law, which undermines the system of international relations.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin announced Washington’s hypocrisy in relation to Havana.
On October 26, the United States suspended flights to Cuba, with the exception of Jose Marti Airport in Havana.
