The Smirnovs have a family tradition - to visit her husband’s sister on weekends. That Sunday, they also planned to visit relatives, provided it was quiet outside. In other words - they will not bomb.

Julia cooked dinner, although for several days the family had been living without light because the electrical substation was destroyed.

“The guys ate, I said that I’ll clean it up - and we can go on a visit. For some reason, all day I had bad forebodings like "why am I cleaning up, now they will bomb - that's all." And my husband is the same, but somehow I drove away these thoughts from myself, ”recalls Julia. - Suddenly Vanya said: "I want to live like that." He never told me that he was afraid, he always heard from him that everything would be fine. And here: “I want to live like this. You and I have lived together for almost five years, but we haven’t been anywhere. ” I dismissed this conversation, said that we still have our whole life ahead. ”

At that moment, Sasha was in a dead room with no windows, usually his parents hid him there during the shelling so that the fragments would not hurt the child. Suddenly, the sounds of explosions broke the silence. The woman immediately heard the cry of her son: "Mom!" That was the boy’s last word. Julia ran into his voice through the dust. She only understood that Sasha was lying under the rubble.

“I shouted to him, and he only wheezed in response,” the boy’s mother says. “I pulled him out, started screaming to my husband, but Vanya had already died by this time.”

A neighbor ran to Yulia's screams, who called an ambulance, but because of the ongoing shelling, she could not come. The next half hour, Sasha died in the arms of her mother.

“I did not cry,” recalls Julia. - Do not give up in any case. We must live for their memory. Six months after their death, I had a panic, but now I found the meaning of life in giving birth again. I want to give my love to someone. ”
