• 10-N. "Hi. I'm Carmena, do you remember?": The former mayor enters the Errejón campaign
  • Catalonia: Errejón's discreet return to Catalonia: dodge the 'procés'
  • 10-N. Errejón launches an ordago to Sánchez and Iglesias: resign the three if they do not agree after 10-N

There is a sixth national player on the 10-N board, Íñigo Errejón. After leaving Podemos and a brief step by the Assembly of Madrid, he presents a new party with the green label with the aim of being the lever to form a "progressive" Government. Errejón strongly criticizes Pedro Sánchez and Pablo Iglesias and intends to embody the voice of the outraged against the political blockade.

He says that More Country is a guarantee of a progressive Government. Why the PSOE and we can't? Because they have not been able to understand each other. Not for a question of program, but for an absolutely irresponsible acronym interest calculation that has led us to an electoral repetition whose great beneficiary is Vox. I think it is not worth it. One more ministry for United We can or five more seats for Sánchez do not deserve that second chance. And, because of how they are behaving now, nothing guarantees that they will not do it again. And how do you help? Would you be a mediator between the two? No. We are taking the initiative in being the one who honestly says what he wants to do with his seats. Two things. One, I think we have already removed many people from abstention and, if the progressive bloc continues to add, it is because we exist. The second will be to take the initiative. They cannot be left alone. As we begin again with the damn game of chairs, we will end up the same. Monica Oltra said: "If I want to take 10 steps and it turns out that we only agree to take two, then let's take two and maybe after the second goes the third and then the fourth." It is a pragmatism that takes us away from maximalism by which either I agree with everything or I sulk. Does this pragmatism move to negotiations? The priorities in Spain are more or less clear. What must be demonstrated now is not if someone knows how to point the horizon, but if someone has the ability to take steps. There has to be an investiture of a progressive government. If we agree it will be on a very stable basis, and if the agreements are minor, it will be an investiture and we will continue negotiating. The policy does not end on investiture day, but begins. If you have not reached a legislature agreement, unlock and negotiate day by day. We can understand that doing useful policy is not to denounce what is going wrong, but to have the ability to agree to modify things. And Sanchez will have to understand that, no matter how much his gurus tell him, he will have to reach agreements. Is this his big difference with Podemos? Are they an all or nothing? Actually, yes. I don't know who said that the sky is conquered cloud by cloud. It means having the ability to improve people's lives. Would your support for the Socialist Party be free or what would be the price? There are things that are clearly to be changed. That the labor reform should have been replaced, the gag law ... The terrible thing is that we have not heard about it during this embarrassing summer. There are many things that we can agree with the PSOE or Podemos and that we cannot agree with. Well hey, we'll work for a little later. May today's disagreements not impede the things we do agree with. For me, the three axes are reconstruction of the welfare state, transformation of our economy taking advantage of an ecological transition, and fighting against sexist violence and against inequality. If this is not done, it is not due to programmatic discussions, it is because of the arrogance and selfishness that some parties have become a blocking tool. Would you ask to enter the Government if you obtained a remarkable result? No, that is not important. The fundamental thing is where this government is heading and not who occupies the chairs. It is not true that one more or less controls a government by having one more ministry. Because the ministers are subject to a government and it has only one voice. I respect the strategies of each training, but the important thing is where it goes. Things are also done from Parliament. The labor reform or the Montoro Budgets should not be in force. Those are the priority things. My position in a government is not going to be a red line. Not that. I saw that the only reason for the blockade was not a program, but a coalition, for which side will you opt for that balance after 10-N? We will not resort to that understanding by putting the posts first. We will come before the measures that we believe have to be developed now, and it will be our contribution. I respect that everyone goes as they wish. We have been without government for eight months and four years of electoral repetitions. I think it's okay, people are fed up. This has to be set a deadline, because, if there are numbers and there is a will, in January it should be done. This is not a popularity championship or seeing who is tougher. If you win the debates but lose governments, they are not useless. With all the letters. Returning to the question, would your position reinforce Sanchez's position of a solo Government to start walking and agree on the program? What happens is that Sanchez must be asked first what he wants. You have to say it, because not all agreements are compatible. Any type of pact for a PP abstention would be an extension of six months. Instead of having elections in February, it would be in May, because I would not approve some Budgets. It would be assisted breathing again, I suppose to continue campaigning in Moncloa. The only option is a progressive government. And the PSOE has to understand that it has to collaborate and cooperate with other forces. If you do not understand it at first, you will end up understanding it in Parliament. What do you think your candidacy does not take off in the polls? It does not worry me, because I have already lived it in Madrid. Then we multiply the result by two. It has to do with the fact that new applications are more difficult to measure. It is what is happening with us and I have no doubt that we will have a spare parliamentary group. And is your political future safe or will it depend on the result? The political future should not be infinite, but it should be consistent with what one believes. The political climate in Spain was flawed, as if it were necessary to open the window, and we were all fed up. Politics must serve precisely to provide solutions. I am proud of the step forward. We are doing the right thing and that is going to be noticed now. Do you think a progressive government may be in danger? There is no alternative on the other side. The right has a problem: it has an alien inside, which is Vox. And you cannot agree with anyone else in the short term. The only way to add them is with progressive abstention or that the myopia of the progressive forces gives them repetitions of elections. In a scenario of a tie between blocks, do you contemplate a transversal agreement that breaks and leaves Sanchez ruling alone? I can't find the forces that do that today. Who was called to do that, which is Citizens, has long since chosen for evil and is suffering the consequences. The inability of Podemos to agree and the election of Citizens to accompany Vox and the most corrupt PP - these two decisions of the so-called new policy - have left the flag of regeneration lying on the ground and must be raised again. Do you see an unlocking at any price? Neither arithmetic, nor ideological, nor politically. There will only be numbers for a progressive unlock. One of the problems we face is that, before the crisis comes, we are caught with economic diversification and balance of the social balance, and that is only done with progressive policies. Citizens carry penance in sin. Why have you stopped asking for a referendum for Catalonia? I have thought a lot. I think that the future of Catalonia must be decided by the Catalans by voting, but I think what they have to vote is an agreement. That is, the example of Brexit is not nonsense and the order of the factors does alter the result. It is not the same to vote and then see what is done with that to agree and submit the voting agreement. I hope that the agreement replacing the previous agreement is large. Replacing an agreement with another minor is not a good horizon. In Catalonia, everyone is needed. Will More Country be a new progressive force that normalizes the use of symbols such as the flag? Something we can did not dare. I think that is what we should tend to do. An idea of patriotism that has always seduced me is that taking care of Spain is taking care of its land and caring for its people. Patriotism, to fill it with democratic content, has nothing to do with what we were in the past, but with what we want to be. I believe that the normalization of Spanish identity is urgent in the progressive field. The progressive field has to be more daring and the conservative field must be asked not to patrimonize the symbols of all. I don't know if there are many more countries in which one part of the country uses the name against the other part. I don't tell the people on the right that they are less Spanish. I ask them not to tell me.
