The new service is called Primary Care Skåne Online, and is aimed at adults and children with mild medical problems such as allergies or skin disorders.

- We want to offer a new opportunity for our patients, and let them choose what suits them best. At the moment, we offer a chat where you can attach a photo if needed, says Caroline Schön, unit manager and specialist in general medicine.

For people over 20 years and under 85, a doctor's visit costs SEK 200, and a nurse's visit is free of cost.

"Important to increase access"

The service will have no age limit, but for anyone under the age of 18, a parent must apply for the child. It will be open from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday to Sunday between 10:00 to 15:00.

- We politicians have a consensus over the block boundary how important it is that Region Skåne is at the forefront of digitization. Primary care Skåne online is another important tool for increasing Skåne's access to the close care, says Birte Sandberg (C), chair of the primary care board.
