The new president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has written to Boris Johnson asking for a commissioner. At the same time, she announced that she had chosen the name of the future Romanian candidate.

With our office in Brussels,

In the new exit agreement on the baptismal font at the last European summit, the United Kingdom is committed to being a loyal partner and not to disrupt the smooth functioning of the European Union for the duration of the new Brexit postponement.

Ursula von der Leyen is therefore justified in hoping for a quick and positive response from London at the request of a new British commissioner.

Boris Johnson is invited to propose a woman since the European Parliament has recaled the French Sylvie Goulard replaced by Thierry Breton , which undermined the balance of parity that Ursula von der Leyen had strongly put forward among the qualities of its future commission.

Once appointed this British Commissioner, we will finally have all the names since the future president has also chosen this Wednesday his Romanian candidate among the two names proposed by the new government of Bucharest. This is Adina Valean, a member of the European Parliament who, coincidentally, chairs the Industry Committee, the same one who auditioned Sylvie Goulard.

In the European Parliament, the Committee on Legal Affairs will be able to examine the declarations of interest of the four candidate Commissioners and new hearings will be organized.
