More than 60 years after his death, James Dean will reappear in a film with special effects that will recreate the image of the American comedian, confirmed Wednesday the production company Magic City Films.

In this feature film, soon to be filmed "Finding Jack", the recreated version of James Dean, who died in 1955, will play the role of Rogan, a supporting role, said The Hollywood Reporter, originally some information.

Magic City Films is collaborating for this project with two companies specializing in special effects, the Canadian Imagine Engine and the South African MOI Worldwide.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film will use the so-called "full body" technology, which recreates the entire image of a person on the basis of photos and video archives, without overlaying that of another individual .

In addition to the technological aspect, Magic City Films was able to launch the project because it controls the rights to use the image of James Dean, acquired from the family of the actor.

"The family sees this as his fourth film, the one he has never been able to do," Anton Ernst, co-founder of Magic City Films and co-director of the film Tati Golykh, told AFP. "We do not intend to disappoint his fans."

James Dean died on September 30, 1955 in a road accident, at age 24. The Porsche he was driving hit a car on a California road near Cholame.

During his brief acting career, he has appeared in several television programs but only in three films, "East of Eden" (1955), "The Fury of Life" (1955) and "Giant" (released in 1956).

Two of these three feature films, "East of Eden" and "Giant", earned him an Oscar nomination. He is often considered one of the most talented actors of his generation.

The inclusion of a long-time deceased actor in a new production marks a new stage in the use of technology in the cinema.

Hollywood has already recreated the image of comedians, including Paul Walker for "Fast and Furious 7", but it was about finishing a movie that the actor had started, before dying in a road accident in 2013.

Actress Carrie Fisher also appeared in "The Last Jedi" of the Star Wars saga, released after her death in December 2016, but all scenes with her were filmed before her death.
