This is the outcome of five major tax reforms that have been examined and the results show that Filipstad is one of the four municipalities where the residents have received the least of the tax bills implemented.

- It is quite natural given that the inhabitants have a fairly low income level. But what worries me is what happens in the next step. When there are no state resources, it affects us, says Filipstad municipal council Per Gruvberger (S).

Together with Eda, Haparanda and Ljusnarsberg, Filipstad is at the bottom when it comes to the outcome of abolished wealth tax, property tax and value added tax as well as the increased limit for state income tax and the introduction of job tax deductions.

- What I'm worried about is the dissatisfaction that grows in the countryside. It is not mainly because you feel that you get less in your wallet than others, but that you feel that you get less service than others, says Per Gruvberger (S).

Per Gruvberger (S) sees that the tax cuts have led to a kind of chain reaction where the state's reduced income leads to reduced opportunities to support needy municipalities financially.

- A proper tax reform is needed. This does not hold together, he says.
