After years of maintaining his love life in absolute secrecy , actor Keanu Reeves (55) has boasted in public his new girlfriend. The interpreter of the successful Matrix saga has appeared alongside painter Alexandra Grant (46) at the LACMA Art and Cinema Gala in Los Angeles.
It is the first couple known to Reeves for decades. His last serious public relationship was with Jennifer Syme, an American actress and personal assistant who lost an actor's son in 1999 and died in an accident in 2001.
The couple were comfortable and sympathetic as they walked hand in hand on the red carpet of the gallery that houses part of the artist's work. The interpreter and Grant posed smiling at the crowd of photographers waiting to immortalize the moment. Keanu chose for the special occasion an elegant black suit that combined with a gray shirt and black tie. While Grant looked much more sophisticated with her hair in a gathered and elegant sleeveless navy blue dress with a v-neckline.
Alexandra Grant, 46, is a visual artist based in Los Angeles. He was born in Fairview Park, Ohio. In 1994 he graduated from Swarthmore College with a degree in history and study art. In 2000 he also graduated from the California School of Arts in San Francisco with a master's degree in drawing and painting. His first contact with the actor was in 2011. They collaborated on Oda to happiness , Grant's first artist book and Keanu Reeves' debut as a writer. They also met for a second collaboration in Shadows , a book consisting of a set of images printed with illustrations by Grant. The couple also founded the X Artists' Books publishing house in 2017.
In 2018, Alexandra talked about her business association with Reeves in Los Angeles magazine. "We really like the attitude of 'being able to do'. Some people are dreamy and have many ideas but they don't like to do things. I think we both like to have the idea and take it to the world." P
This appearance confirms the rumors of the courtship of the interpreter that had been circulating in recent months, after being seen last month walking arm in arm as they left a sushi bar in West Hollywood.
