There were 13 trial days in Ångermanland district court earlier this fall and now, five weeks later, it is time for the dissolution. At eleven o'clock today, Ångermanland District Court announces the answer to the question discussed in football Sweden for just over a year, were the invoices false and did that bluff aim to favor the all-Swedish football team Östersunds FK?

Östersundshem and Peab have claimed back 20 million in damages and the prosecutor has pleaded for long prison sentences for those involved.

  • Daniel Kindberg, who was CEO of Östersundshem and chairman of ÖFK, was prosecuted for directing the transactions and staging the bluff.
  • The Sollefteå entrepreneur was prosecuted for writing the invoices and forwarding the money to the football club.
  • The Peabman was prosecuted for certifying and approving the invoices.

They themselves say they are innocent. Today we find out if the court thinks so too.

The verdict is announced in district court at eleven o'clock today. Follow the reporting here on our site during the day.
