Gulf states are preparing to receive the tropical storm "Maha" in the coming days, stationed in the Arabian Sea, and meteorological authorities expect to turn into a hurricane.

The storms of Kiar and Maha began last Thursday in the Arabian Sea, and official reports said the latter began to fade, but the former is getting stronger with the possibility of becoming a cyclone.

The Saudi Meteorological Authority (EPA) said the latest developments in the Maha case indicate its evolution from a tropical storm to a first-degree tropical cyclone.

The Commission expected in a statement that Maha will develop into a tropical cyclone of the second degree within the next 24 hours.

Oman's meteorology reported that the tropical storm Maha in the Arabian Sea was evolving into a first-class tropical cyclone with winds around the center of 65 knots. The rating is expected to drop on Tuesday as the route changes to the northeast towards the coast of India.

It also pointed out in that statement that the storm is currently (Sunday) 850 kilometers from the nearest point in the Sultanate (Ras Mindraa).

In the UAE, the National Meteorological Center said Maha had evolved into a first-class tropical cyclone.He also predicted in a statement that the typhoon would reach the second category with winds of around 160-170 km / h in the next 24 hours, and then deviate Tuesday northeast.

As for the impact of the hurricane on the country, the UAE statement said that it is likely to disturb the wave on Sunday night in the Sea of ​​Oman, and the tide may flood some low-lying areas of the east coast during the high tide from Monday to Wednesday, calling for caution and stay away from the shores of the eastern coasts.
