Plus, during its review of legal services, received 26 tips about Rive legal agency. Several tips testify that they did not understand that they would have to pay for the lawyers' trips with a private plan, which in some cases became as expensive as SEK 25,000.

The Swedish Consumer Agency has also received many complaints and notifications. When the Consumer Ombudsman (KO) later examined the notifications, they discovered the same thing as the Plus editorial and KO has now sued the agency in the Patent and Market Court.

Some of the dissatisfied customers have refused to pay the bills. Others have paid all or some of the invoices they have received from the agency.

"Can't see how we have been unclear"

Rive Legal Agency, with offices in Borlänge, offers its services in labor law across the country. The agency states to the Plus editorial board that they welcome a judicial review, as they believe that there has been no legal practice in the area before.

"All of our clients have been given complete written information that is submitted before commencement of assignments," says Henric Einarsson, labor law attorney at Rive's legal agency.

- We have also provided oral information which shows detailed information about the fees and any travel in addition. I do not see how it would be unclear.

"Customers owe SEK 350,000"

But KO feels that the agency needs to present its price picture much more clearly, and that they have to tell their customers orally that they are flying on a private plane.

Will you compensate those who are dissatisfied?

- The agency and the people who have notified us have entered into an agreement. In principle in all of these cases, the agency has done a lot of work, so it is difficult to discuss any further compensation, says Henric Einarsson.

In what way do you mean that you have already compensated the customers?

- The people have refused to pay and we cannot compensate them except that they have not paid. Only one of the 18 who has reported us has done the right thing. The others are still owed approximately SEK 350,000.

However, according to the agency, they will not collect those invoices.

Clarifies anyway

Although the agency believes it has been sufficiently clear, they have now entered clarifications into their general terms and conditions, and also say they have changed their way of talking to their customers.

The agency also states that they have had more than 3,000 clients during the period that the first 18 notifications to the Swedish Consumer Agency have received.
