Right now, the County Administrative Board of Halland is in the process of inventing how many lynx can be found in the county. An inventory that is the basis for whether license hunting should be granted. At present, it is believed that there are between five and ten lynxes living in Halland, and in order to hunt the predators there should be around 25. But according to Martin Broberg, hunting for lynx in Halland may eventually be involved.

- We have seen from our neighboring countries that the lynx strain can increase and then it can go fast, he says.

Requests images from hunting cameras

The biggest chance he thinks is that hunters have managed to catch the lynx in the picture.

Mainly because many have access cameras, or hunting cameras set up at challenge sites. Something that a year and a half ago was not legal. Now that the law has been changed, the County Administrative Board wants to inform that it is free to submit the material, which would help with the inventory.

The inventory period runs from the first of October to the end of February.

In the clip, Martin Broberg talks about the lynx stock in Halland and shows where the lynx has been documented.
