Throughout the country, people swim under the slogan Swim of Hope to support cancer research and families with sick children. Triathletes, swimmers and water polo players swim as long as they can for an hour, then multiply the number of swam meters by the amount the sponsors have invested.

The collections produce results

Former Olympian Camilla Johansson-Sponseller is Sports Manager of Umeå Swimming Association. Since her son Isaac Sponseller died in cancer in 2013, she has been committed to raising money for research on childhood cancer.

- Just in the time since Isaac's death until now, survival has increased by another five percent, so you can see the results of these collections and it feels fantastic, says Camilla Sponseller.
