After a comment in a large Facebook group, a week ago, Maria received a threat letter and a pistol bullet in the mailbox. Maria, who has lived in Upplands-Bro for more than 50 years, feels more worried today than she did ten years ago. She thinks the crime in Upplands-Bro has become apparent.

- You have started to be scared of 12-15 year olds who pull around in the days with knives, snatches in bags and mugs, says Maria Löfblad.

Although the number of reported crimes has decreased in the municipality, the feeling of insecurity has increased among the inhabitants. Earlier, it has been reported that as many as 47 percent of respondents in Upplands-Bro feel insecure when they are out late evenings in their own residential area. Something that the municipal police magnus Nilsson previously commented and said is due to strong Facebook groups that create the feeling of insecurity.

- We have compared ourselves to other similar municipalities where insecurity is considerably lower and we do not find any huge differences, so we have considered what is different. It's hard to put your finger on, but a clear difference is that there are very strong Facebook groups, Magnus Nilsson told SVT.

Police report the incident

Maria Löfblad has reported the incident to the police and the police have taken care of the letter and the bullet and offered various security measures. Reporting a police offense is obvious to her, but it is not as obvious to everyone in the municipality.

- The crime statistics of reported crimes in Upplands-Bro are high, but there are a lot of unreported crimes. People resign, calling the police is no idea. They know that the police do not have the capacity to mark and be there or come here, says Maria Löfblad.
