South Africa leads ahead of England (12-6) at half-time in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday in Yokohama.

South African opening midfielder Handré Pollard scored four penalties to cement his team's domination of the conquest phases, notably in closed scrums, while Owen Farrell scored the six English points.

This first period was marked by a very hard physical challenge, which caused the premature exits of the right English pillar Kyle Sinkler (2nd), as well as two South Africans hit on the same action, hooker Mbongeni Mbonambi and the second line Lod De Jager (21st).
