In Mali, 54 people were killed in an attack by militants at a checkpoint


Mali authorities have confirmed the deaths of 54 people as a result of an attack by militants at a military checkpoint in the north of the country, the Associated Press reports.

According to the agency, the attack was committed on Friday, November 1.

According to RFI, 53 soldiers and one civilian are listed as dead. The camp at Indeliman was attacked.

Earlier, militants attacked an American air base in southern Somalia, as well as a peacekeeping contingent in Mogadishu.
