Alberto Sed, a survivor of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, has disappeared. Alberto, after being captured in Rome with his mother and two sisters, was briefly taken to Fossoli, before being taken to Birkenau, where he was tattooed number A-5491. Sed was born in Rome in 1928. "His death represents an immense pain for the whole community. An even more painful loss in these dark times when anti-Semitic hatred reappears.
