Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the completion of the tunnels and roads leading to the entrances and exits of Jawharat Al Khor, which is being implemented by the RTA in coordination and cooperation with Dubai World Real Estate Company. It is located between the Al Maktoum and the Floating bridges.

The General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Matar Al Tayer, confirmed the completion of the tunnels, which are 1.4 km long, and the completion of roads with a length of seven kilometers, and explained that the ground and bottom outlets (basement) of the project connected to the road and transportation network on Bani Yas Street from the north, Al Ittihad Street is on the east side, through roads, tunnels and slopes leading to the lower car parks.

The project includes the construction of an 81-meter-long pedestrian bridge crossing the Bani Yas Street, which will be completed in the first quarter of next year, in addition to lighting, protection and the transformation of existing services.

“The northern side outlets include entrances through the tunnel to the lower parking lots of traffic going west of Bani Yas Street and traffic coming from the slope of Al Maktoum Bridge. It also includes exits from the lower parking spaces, through the tunnel to Bani Yas Street in the east, Bani Yas Street in the west, and exits from the northwest side to the eastern slope of Al Maktoum Bridge to Bani Yas Street, while the eastern side outlets include superficial entrances to and from the lower parking lots. On the east side, unilateral tunnels to the lower positions of Al Ittihad Road along the floating bridge, and from Bani Yas Street east. It includes the implementation of roads for the surface entrances to traffic coming from Al Ittihad Road in the south, and unilateral tunnels from the east side of the parking provides an exit towards Abu Dhabi and Al Ittihad Street in the north.

It is noteworthy that the project (jewel of the Creek) is one of the future architectural icons in the urban landscape on the banks of the Dubai Creek.
