National Police officers have arrested three young people, two of them minors , who assaulted Zaragoza's telephone shops in broad daylight and who staged a dangerous high-speed car escape through the city streets.
According to police reports, two of the young people entered at about 11.00 on Wednesday in one of the shops assaulted, they cleared an exhibitor and took mobile phones exposed before fleeing in a white vehicle in which they were waiting for a accomplice.
Two hours later, the suspects broke into another telephone establishment and after starting an exhibitor, seized several terminals and undertook a new escape.
After activating the search device, the members of a Subsoil Unit of the Higher Headquarters of Aragon who were making a search recognized the vehicle on the run with the three suspects inside and tried to intercept it.
When warning of the presence of the agents, the young people undertook a dangerous flight at great speed, crossing red traffic lights and having to separate the pedestrians to avoid being run over.
At a time of the persecution, the officers of a police van got out to urge the driver of the vehicle to stop, who made a violent maneuver to continue the escape that forced the police to depart for the outrage.
The Cóndor police helicopter, incorporated into the operation , informed the agents on the ground that the fleeing vehicle was traveling at high speed in the direction of the A-2 highway , until it deviated into an industrial estate.
At that moment, a patrol car crossed his vehicle in the path of the suspects and finally managed to stop them.
After proceeding with the arrest of the suspects, the agents recovered the stolen phones, some of which were inside and the rest thrown out the car window during the flight.
The information provided from the police helicopter allowed the agents to identify the place where the detainees had thrown an exhibitor with several of the stolen mobiles.
They are charged with several crimes of theft, robbery with force and robbery with violence and intimidation of high-end mobile phones in electronics stores in Zaragoza, Leganés (Madrid) and Talavera de la Reina and Illescas (Toledo).
