The Paris Bourse ended the week up (+ 0.56%), boosted by strong job creation in the United States and an unexpected improvement in the Chinese manufacturing sector.

The CAC 40 index gained 32.03 points on Friday at 5,761.89 points, in a small trade volume of 2.7 billion euros. The day before, he ended down 0.62%.

The Paris rating started in November on a moderately positive note before accelerating the pace in the wake of the publication of the monthly report on employment in the United States in October.

Over the past week, the index gained 0.69%. Its gains since 1 January reach 21.80%.

"The market starts the month on a positive tone," said AFP Daniel Larrouturou, equity manager at Dôm Finance.

"As there are no results of companies on this holiday in France, most of the impetus came from macroeconomic news, with activity higher than forecast in China and especially very good figures. in the United States, "added the expert.

Manufacturing activity in China saw an unexpected rebound in October, with its best performance for more than two years, while job creation in the United States remained solid in October, amounting to 128,000. little more than expected.

"These figures still reflect the strength of the US labor market," said Larrouturou.

Manufacturing activity in the United States continued to contract in October but at a slower pace than the previous month.

According to the expert of Dôm Finance, "all these statistics reinforce investors in the idea that the low point may have been reached and that the activity will now go up slowly, especially if a trade agreement between China and the States Is found ".

The good macroeconomic news in any case took precedence on this issue on Friday, despite the announcement at the end of the session of the authorization given by the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Beijing to impose sanctions on 3.6 billion dollars (3.2 billion euros) of US products per year, in a dispute of six years.
