The Russian leader said that the problem of a lack of qualified personnel is characteristic of the entire world labor market.

“If we do not undertake vigorous efforts to solve these problems, then, according to the same foreign authoritative sources, by the end of 2030 the shortage of qualified personnel will be about 3 million people,” RIA Novosti quotes Putin.

He also said that a lack of specialists could lead to losses in the Russian economy, "which will be measured in the hundreds of billions of dollars of lost profits."

In May, the Federal State Statistics Service said that the largest shortage of skilled workers (60 thousand people) was observed in the healthcare sector.
