Fifteen soldiers were killed this Friday, November 1 in an attack described as "terrorist". According to the statement of the army, it is a position of Fama Indelimane, in the sector of Menaka, in the north of the country, which was attacked.

Indelimane is a Malian locality of the North, located between two circles: Ménaka and Ansogo. On the spot, the camp of the Malian army was targeted by terrorists according to an official statement.

A statement from the Malian army gives a provisional assessment of 15 deaths. The Malian Minister of Communication, spokesman for the government, adds that there are many wounded and significant damage on the side of the defense and security forces. Yaya Sangaré also calls for the sacred union to succeed " the war for freedom ".

The attack has not yet been officially claimed, but jihadist groups have settled in this area not far from the Nigerian border. They leave Niger to come and carry out attacks in Mali, or leave Mali to attack military positions in neighboring countries.
