The winners of the Qatar Digital Award and the pavilions of the fifth edition of the Qatar Information Technology Conference and Exhibition (QITC) have been at the forefront of the closing ceremony of KITCOM 2019 held under the slogan 'Safe and Smart Cities' over four days, along with other hot spots, especially future plans for smart cities and their development. Over the course of four days, the conference witnessed various activities and events that included the signing of many memorandums of understanding, agreements, initiatives and programs focusing on the provision of smart services and solutions.

KITCOM 2019, which has attracted more than 30,000 visitors, has given Qatar a major boost in the development of safe and smart cities, putting Doha on the global map of smart cities with initiatives, platforms and understandings to enhance its IT capabilities and encourage transformation. Digital.

Reem tells Al Jazeera Net that the conference witnessed a great momentum in signing contracts and agreements and the announcement of many projects, and also showed many solutions in the issue of cybersecurity safer and flexible for smart cities, as well as increased awareness of the importance of creating safer economic systems for smart city solutions that support technologies Internet.

In its fifth edition, the conference attracted 70 investors from around the world, spoke with startups through 800 meetings over three days, and reached 15 investments in startups, according to Reem Al Mansouri.

KITCOM 2019 expanded its scope and size to host additional new events, including the Entrepreneurship Area which included the Creativity Theater, the Programming Camp, the Creative Ideas Camp as well as the Startups Zone.

KITCOM, the largest ICT event in Qatar, has been distinguished from its predecessors as a world-class version, attracting 104 speakers from nearly 30 countries, more than 400 exhibitors and local and international startups, some 300 innovators, entrepreneurs and 29 Local and international sponsors.
