A team of four national students at Rashidiya Secondary School will participate in tomorrow's Robocap Robotics Competition in football.

“I participate with my team of Ahmed Al Mansouri, Saud Abdulaziz and Qasim Mohammed to create a robot that the team uses to play football to compete with other teams, both locally and internationally,” said student Abdullah Jassim Al Balushi, adding that the competition is a preparation for preparing a team of robots to compete. He explained that the robot consists of several sensors and generators of energy, and arms to carry the ball, and can be directed remotely, via the laptop, and also includes a camera to identify the target ball.

Al Balooshi pointed out that his team won first place in the competition «Robocap», which was organized in the UAE last January, and qualified for the same competition in Australia, and the team won fourth place after a strong competition with the participating teams, and Canada, but did not win in this competition.

Al Balooshi said that they are heavily supported by the school administration, as they have provided them with all the necessary capabilities to build the robot and train it, so that they can achieve advanced positions in the competitions in which they participate, pointing out that they are keen to win the competition of Russia, to raise the name of the UAE in World competitions.
