- Last week, the media reported that you led the project “Territory of Safe Childhood”. Can you tell what you will do and what kind of project it is?

- Our Saratov ombudsman Tatyana Zagorodnya offered me her assistance, and said that she has now launched a project called “Territory of Safe Childhood”. I joined him. I will be a public assistant in this project. And now, taking this opportunity, I invite everyone to join us. We have an application for smartphones - any parent can download it and show the problems of approaches to school. Our people will go there.

- After the death of Lisa, the officials promised to secure the route to the school. Was this promise fulfilled?

- The route passed from our entrance, past this kindergarten, along the fence from that side to garages. Then along the garages, along the ladder, and already from above, she approached the school. A lot of children still go this route. No matter how strange or scary. And even after the tragedy, the current situation has not changed. Our authorities seem to have carried out a small cleaning of the territory, put on lights. But I do not think that lanterns and felled trees can somehow save the children who still walk there. God grant that such a tragedy will never happen to anyone again.

- That is, in your opinion, children following this route are still in danger?

- I believe that the word "security" is generally not applicable to this school, neither on the bottom nor the top. To begin with, the location of the school is completely unsatisfactory. On the one hand, the construction site is incomplete and almost unfenced, where the uncle-guard, who sleeps at night, sits. And on the other hand, garages. On the third side there are also garages. And from below the approach - there is a very high mountain. In the winter season there, unless you can only climb and go down on sleds or ice skates. Open hatches, by the way. Today I drove along that road, and literally 200 meters from the school there were two open hatches, and sticks stick out of the wells. This story has been going on for about a month.

“What do you think needs to be done?”

- I believe that the authorities smooth the corners, show the visibility of their activities. I understand that the demolition of garages is a very big cost and a big loss for their owners. But you can not demolish all the garages.

There are many ways to protect them, to divide them into two zones, between which there will be a good, illuminated, level road, along which not only people can walk, but also mothers with strollers. Because moms with prams go crazy down here. There must be cameras. It’s enough to at least make an alley that will lead clearly to the school. Smooth alley, without any bends.

The minimum that I would like is the road to school, and it should be seriously fenced. And the maximum is to take it all down.

“But, perhaps, it’s not only the road to school, but also the control of the freed criminal?”

- I believe that there must be a bill that reveals to us people, their ins and outs, so that we know who we live next to. I believe that this is vital for our unborn children. The people are simply indignant. There are still a lot of people in touch with me from all cities of Russia.

Let's make lists who knows what. Even such a word of mouth will reveal some people. Because this is a problem not only of Saratov, in fact. This is a problem in many cities. And in other cities there were similar cases. And they are repeated at an enviable frequency. This is scary. For my part, I want to make every effort to ensure that this never happens again.

- If you knew that such a person lives near you, how would you behave?

- Definitely, I would not live there. If we have a person with such a story walking around among residents, then at what point his roof will begin to tear off, his aggravation will begin. We need clear control over such people, their actions, their social networks, where they are and what they do.

- But there are district ...

- The district officers have too much work and paperwork. It seems to me that one policeman is not enough to establish control.

- Immediately after the death of Lisa, a discussion broke out around a moratorium on the death penalty. Would you support his cancellation?

- I support, yes. If there is clear evidence of a person’s guilt. There must be a clear knowledge that the person is guilty. But I do not want the death penalty to be somehow connected with the death of my daughter. Not with this case. I think this person (the killer of the girl . - RT ) will be punished.

- When did the law enforcement officers tell you about the death of your daughter?

- Officially, they still haven’t informed me that my child died there and there, at such and such, and at such and such. Nothing of the kind happened. Nobody phoned, wrote to me, nobody said anything, neither to me, nor to my spouse. We ourselves participated in the search, all two days, and we learned everything first hand. We were in the midst of this crowd.

“Did you meet Tuvatin personally after the murder?”

“I saw him in court when a preventive measure was imposed on him.” I pulled myself together and realized that I want to look this person in the eye. And I met his gaze. It turned out to be empty. About ten seconds, probably we looked at each other. But I understood that, frankly, such people have no regrets. It’s like a given, which he took for himself, and now he is simply reaping the benefits. Honestly, it seems to me that there is little sanity. Although in court he said that he was not registered anywhere.

My version is an attempted rape. And, since the girl began to resist very much, he overdid it and strangled her on the way to the garage. This is our version. I think she is faithful. Because it seems like the girl remained untouched, thank God.

- Is this official information?

- No, officially (announced . - RT ) only by the end of the month, and maybe even at the beginning of the next. But an external examination revealed that there was no rape.
