This Thursday was supposed to be Brexit Day for the UK, it was Boris Johnson's repeated promise. But on this Halloween day, the country is still in the EU.

In place of Brexit , the various parties started to launch their campaigns for early elections scheduled for December 12.

The first to harangue the crowds, Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the labor opposition . He delivered a speech in South London promised to tackle a " rigged system favoring a corrupt elite ".

A focus on domestic politics

Jeremy Corbyn does not want to focus attention on Brexit and will try during these five weeks of campaign to focus his efforts on his domestic policy program.

The calculation of Labor is simple: while on the Brexit their message is scrambled and therefore difficult to pass, in terms of domestic issues their ideas could be much more popular. Hence the rallying cry of the leader this morning.

In a packed house and applauded throughout his speech, Jeremy Corbyn promised to end a corrupt system and proposes, conversely, what it presents as the real change, with measures like the nationalization of the main public services or the protection of the health system, threatened to be sacrificed on the altar of Brexit, with the conclusion of private agreements, notably with the United States.

The Conservative Party and the big companies in the viewfinder

Jeremy Corbyn also introduced Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party as the party of the elite. He took a very direct attack on the millionaires, the businessmen, the big companies that exploit their employees, do not pay their taxes and pollute the planet.

This plan largely resumes that of the campaign of 2017 which had certainly succeeded to the leader, but without allowing him to enter 10 Downing Street. And this is the main flaw in this strategy, many Labor worried that within an exasperated electorate that calls for a resolution of the Brexit impasse, this radical social message misses its target.
