- Islamic State: Revenge of the faithful jihadist who ended Abu Bakr al Baghdadi
Five days after the American operation that ended his life, the self-styled Islamic State (IS) has confirmed Thursday the death of its leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi in the Syrian town of Barisha, six kilometers from the Turkish border.
The message has been produced through Al Furqan, the media arm of the jihadist organization that until now distributed the speeches and life tests of the self-proclaimed caliph and the group's dome. As of late Wednesday, Al Furqan had announced as imminent a message that everyone had interpreted as the recognition of the death of who made the IS the main brand of global 'jihad'.
