The Emirates Red Crescent Authority is preparing to open two vital water projects, the Dhubab and Al Waziya waters.The Al Waziya water project includes the rehabilitation of two artesian wells and providing them with an integrated solar energy system, which includes 88 panels, 200 amps, a lift for water, and two concrete tanks with a capacity of 300,000 liters each. And repairing a 60-kilometer distribution network, benefiting more than 21,000 inhabitants.
The Zobab water project comes as a lifeline for a coastal city that found itself without drinking water, in light of the disruption of the Yemeni state institutions, where the project consists of an integrated solar energy system (48 panels 200 amps, a diver to raise water and concrete tank capacity of 100 thousand liters, with the extension of a water network (30 km long), while the number of beneficiaries of the project more than 6000 people, are residents of Zobab city, the center of the Directorate of Bab al-Mandab of the province of Taiz.
The UAE Red Crescent has started the vital water projects since the first months of the liberation of the West Coast directorates, by rehabilitating and operating the Al-Khokha water project in Al Hudaydah governorate, which included the establishment of an integrated solar water pumping unit to ensure water pumping for more than 25,000 people.
The UAE Red Crescent Authority continued its interest in the center of Al Khokha Directorate, where it rushed to rehabilitate the water project of Qataba area, which is densely populated in the same Directorate, by digging a well and providing it with an integrated solar water pumping unit, a concrete reservoir, and a 15 km network.
The project was preceded by the Mokha water project in Taiz governorate, which boosted the productive capacity of the population of a city inhabited by displaced people from various Yemeni governorates and became a center for the liberated West Coast directorates.
The project consists of digging two wells and providing them with two generators, two pumps to raise water and rehabilitate the network.
The six medium-sized projects are no less important than the strategic projects, providing drinking water in densely populated areas, including three areas belonging to the Directorate of Mukha, Dar Al-Shujaa, Hassi Salem, Yakhthal, Al-Zuhari, Al-Jadeed area in Bab Al-Mandab district and Al-Hima area in Al-Tahita district. And the Mushoj area of the Nectarine Directorate.
The medium-sized projects included the establishment of integrated solar water pumping units and the restoration and rehabilitation of reservoirs and distribution networks.
Limited projects also contributed to providing drinking water to 20 villages and communities, according to a survey and study of the most needy villages, ensuring stability and non-displacement. Nine villages in the Directorate of Mukha benefited from these projects, namely Nubat Amer, Hasb Al-Huraishi, Marawshah, Dura, Al-Qadimiya, Al-Mushaqir Al-A'la, Al-Mushaqir Al-Asad, Al-Azhaf and Al-Azwam. , And Nazila, and three villages in the Directorate of Tahita, are the top sensory head, and the sensory head down, and spot.
