The text of Nebenzi’s speech at an open meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Kosovo is published on the website of the Permanent Mission of Russia.

“The details of what happened are shocking,” he said.

Nebenzya said that Kosov’s security officials pulled Krasnoshchekov “using physical force they hit his head on the driver’s door, inflicted multiple blows with his hands, then used special equipment and handcuffs, pushed him into the back seat of his car, where they continued to beat him.”

Also, according to the Russian Permanent Representative, Krasnoshchekov “seized the ID card and driver’s license of a UN employee, broke his mobile phone.”

Nebenzya emphasized that "through his actions, the Kosovo special forces have shown disregard for international law, including guaranteeing immunity for UN employees from arrest and detention."

In late May, Kosovo police special forces ROSU entered the northern regions of the region. As reported in Serbia, Kosovo law enforcement officers detained 28 people, including two UN employees, including Russian Mikhail Krasnoshchekov.

Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky noted that the Kosovo police acted out of provocative motives because of the elections, where the Serbian representatives won.

In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Moscow would not allow "braking" the crime committed against a Russian UN official who was injured on May 28 as a result of the actions of the Kosovo security forces.
