The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has appealed to the United Nations and all international and local human rights and legal institutions to rescue the group's leader, Dr. Mohamed Badie (76 years).

The group blamed the Egyptian authorities for the life of Dr. Mohamed Badie, whose health is deteriorating due to abuse.

The statement pointed out that Badie is still being held in solitary confinement and deprived of various means of life, in addition to preventing him from visiting him for four continuous years, in addition to preventing him from accessing his lawyer.

The group asserted that crimes committed in silence against innocent people without action from every responsible person to stop them will not be statute of limitations, and the perpetrators will not escape the fair account before the just courts in this world, and the account of God Almighty the mighty in the Hereafter.

Bint Morshed's Brotherhood has already published several posts on her Facebook page, in which she spoke of the bad conditions experienced by her elderly father in his solitary confinement.

The Brotherhood leader, who was arrested after the overthrow of the late President Mohamed Morsi in the summer of 2013, is being tried in 12 cases with a political dimension.

Mohamed Badie is an Egyptian academic, born on August 7, 1943.He joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1959 and was elected general guide on January 16, 2010, succeeding former leader Mohamed Mahdi Akef who died in September 2017 due to medical negligence. .

In October 2018, a leaked letter from inside the detention center revealed Badi's health deteriorated after he was assaulted by a national security officer (formerly State Security).

Badi's family has repeatedly expressed concern for his health, blaming the Egyptian regime for his life and what he is being subjected to in the heavily guarded Tora prison, or the so-called “scorpion”, to no avail.

Observers fear that Badi will meet the fate of the late President Mohamed Morsi, who died in June during one of his trial sessions, as well as former General Guide Mohamed Mehdi Akef.
