“Every day, by various means of communication, residents of different constituent entities of Russia report on calls they receive from people who appear to be employees of the investigative bodies of the IC of Russia and other government agencies,” the agency’s website said in a statement.

It is noted that fraudsters inform citizens that they are victims of criminal cases, allegedly excited by the fact of the sale of falsified biologically active additives and medicines, including by providing some “legal documents”.

Then the attackers offer to transfer money for future compensation for moral damage.

“We ask citizens to be vigilant, especially the elderly, who are most often exposed to telephone fraud,” the text says.

On October 8, Newstracker.ru reported that five people suspected of telephone fraud in the Stavropol Territory were detained in Ufa.
