Public and private schools in the Kalba area were dispensed in anticipation of the weather conditions in the area, in order to protect their safety and prevent them from being detained due to the closure of some roads leading to their homes.

The main roads, such as Kalba Corniche Road, Al Nakheel Street opposite Fujairah Corniche Road, and the Pearl Corniche Road in Khorfakkan were flooded, and mobile carts serving snacks, hotels and tourist facilities were damaged.

The shores of Khorfakkan were stretched to the Oceanic Hotel and large parts of the Pearl Beach were flooded.

Mariam Ali, a resident of al-Burdi, said that she was surprised by the sea water entering her house at 9:00 am, which forced her to move all the furniture of the house to another room in order to preserve it from damage, pointing out that the concerned authorities transported her and her family through buses for hotel apartments. She confirmed that she was one of the families that remained in their homes until the students spent the schools in order to move their children with them. Mohammed Salim (Asian), who lives in the papyrus area, said that the electricity has been cut off since the morning, to enter a large amount of sea water into his house, causing danger to his life and the lives of his children, pointing out that some furniture in the house was damaged, in addition to the failure of his vehicle , As he could not get his children to school. He thanked the government agencies, who cooperated in moving him from the house to Sidra Park, and then to a safe place.

The family of Abdullah Rashid Mohammed, from al-Bardi area, preferred to stay in her house, despite the lack of electricity due to partial water entering the courtyard, where rock barriers were placed in front of their house by government authorities, to avoid damage to houses by sea water.

He noted that if the weather did not stabilize, he would move his family to a safe place away from the seawater pool.

Municipalities of the Eastern Region collaborated with other government agencies to raise the level of emergency and distribute their machinery, equipment and workers in order to drain the sea water from the streets and put earth barriers to prevent them from reaching houses and shops.

For his part, the Director of Fujairah Municipality, Eng. Mohammed Al-Akhmeem, said that the beaches that were exposed to the sea water are: Qadfa, Murbah and Corniche umbrellas and Alrgilat, pointing out that the situation is under control thanks to the mechanisms and equipment used by several government agencies in the Emirate, including the General Command The Fujairah Police and the Public Works Department, which work continuously without interruption until the stability of the weather conditions, and has set up barriers and sand barriers, to prevent the entry of sea water to the roads and shops opposite the Corniche.

He stressed that the areas will be buried on the Corniche Alrgilat and umbrellas and areas Qdfa and profitable with sand, until the return of weather conditions for stability.

The Eastern Region Police demanded that all sea-goers be cautious, given the tropical storm, which leads to the sea, which leads to incidents of drowning or loss of people or crash boats, which makes the search and rescue process very difficult, so everyone must be alert, And not to risk approaching the sea.

Sea water did not reach the main streets of Khorfakkan

Dr. Rashid Al Naqbi, Chairman of Khorfakkan Municipal Council, confirmed that the sea water did not reach the main streets in the area, while large quantities of water arrived at the Oceanic Hotel opposite Khorfakkan Corniche due to the rising sea level. Khorfakkan has to withdraw those water directly, for the safety of hotel guests.

He added that the Pearl Beach was submerged from the sea water, and the competent teams got rid of the accumulated quantities of water, as it has become no threat to nearby houses.
